Product Description
Fancy Nancy is back! And when her family decides to get a dog, she's certain she can be fancier than ever. After all, a papillon—a small, delicate, fluffy dog—is the ultimate accessory. But her family wants a large, plain dog. How unglamorous! With Fancy Nancy's trademark humor and warmth, Nancy discovers that real fanciness does not depend simply on appearance but more on a genuine joie de vivre, which is a fancy phrase for having lots of fun.

Will Nancy's Family Find the Right Pet? April 4, 2010 Writers 4 Literacy (Salt Lake City, Utah) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy
By Jane O'Conner
Fancy Nancy's family is excited because they will soon have a new dog.
Mrs. Devine has a small Papillion dog with its own pillow, blanket, chair, beauty shop and even fancy clothes. While her family tries to decide what kind of dog they want, Fancy Nancy puppy sits her neighbor's dog, Jewel.
She tries to groom the dog, walk it and even play fetch, but the tiny dog gets tired. When Nancy's sister tries to play with the dog, Jewel gets scared.
Maybe a Papillion is not the dog for Nancy's family. Will they find a dog they can play with? Will Nancy have to be sad and un-fancy forever?
Join Fancy Nancy on a fun filled, fancy adventure, which includes many new fancy words.

Wonderful Rescue Message January 4, 2010 Jen Wren This is a wonderful book. Her Posh Puppy is a rescue pup and that is a nice touch. Great book for a princess who loves animals and glitter! My five year old and two year old adore Fancy Nancy and their vocabulary is now "splendid".
Love the Fancy Nancy series October 19, 2009 Denise Moran (Omaha, NE) Love the Fancy Nancy series, this is a must have for reading time, one of my child's absolute favorites!
Not Just Another Story October 7, 2009 Mary A. Murphy (Chicago, IL USA) This book is typical of the Fancy Nancy series.
It presents a pleasant interesting story written
as a "read to" book for pre school and early school
age girls. The BIG plus is that the story includes
vocabulary enrichment as integral part of the
experience. It becomes an extra challenge to a
child/adult conversation to speak in "Fancy Nancy
talk" for the rest of the day. Three cheers, five
stars, or whatever for this book. It makes learning fun.
