Product Description
Dispensing food/treat ball for dogs. Uniquely shaped ball rolls and slides in unpredictable directions, and has many different angles for the dog to grab on to and safely play with. This presents a physically and mentally stimulating challenge, making the dog work for its food. Reduces boredom and destructive behavior. A perfect training device. The molecuball is made of tough, safe, non-toxic thermoplastic material. Easy to clean and refill. Can be used both indoors and outdoors. Available in assorted colors.

5 out of 5 stars Our dog's new obsession!   June 15, 2010
Pet Lover 0306 (South Carolina)
We got the atomic ball two days ago and it is already a clear favorite! Our dog is a bit strange and insists that somebody be near him or he won't eat...but put his dinner in the ball and he'll play and eat all night! This is going to be great for us in helping maintain his weight. The only downfall? We have to put it away when it's empty or he will continue batting it around waiting for treats to fall out. Overall, awesome toy!

5 out of 5 stars Best for Fast-Eating Canine   August 26, 2009

Instead of using the 'slow-down-your-fast-eating-dog bowls' I use the Molecuball. When the dog pushes it around, the dry kibble dispenses which allows my pet to be a mindful-eater without getting Bloat.

5 out of 5 stars Best treat ball we've found   May 27, 2009

Treat balls are the best way for me to keep my active terrier mix busy in the house and we've tried several of them, including the Kong biscuit ball and the Buster Cube. Benji's a chewer and he'll disembowel plush toys pretty quickly. So we prefer rubber toys he can't destroy and which don't make a lot of noise (the Buster Cube is hard plastic and it's hard to take in the same room with the dog knocking it around). The Atomic Treat Ball (3 in.) is the best we've found.

While I'd prefer a smaller or adjustable hole, we've found a couple of treats Benji likes that make him work to get them out: the small size Milk Bones and the heart shaped Paul Newman treats. Both of these are just a little too big for him to get out of the toy by rolling it around. He has to squeeze the opening with his teeth just the right way and hope that he gets lucky. Plus the biscuit treats don't spoil if they remain in the toy. Another bonus is that the treat ball is just a little too large for him to lose under much of our furniture. Don't you hate it when you get a new toy, the dog loves it, and it disappears within the first five minutes if you turn your back? :)

5 out of 5 stars A GREAT BUY!   March 5, 2009

My 10yr old beagle LOVES this thing! He can carry it easily, chew on it and push it around, but he can no longer eat too fast. Its great. Keeps him busy for a good while too. I wouldn't recommend this toy for chewers, as it is easy to grip and a softer plastic. MUCH less noisy than the buster cube, but the buster cube is better for heavy chewers. I even prefer this to the famed kong toy because the dog can't just sit and lick it, they've got to walk and nudge it. Works their brain more. Great for young, old, big and small! Gives the dog a "mission".

4 out of 5 stars You can find it cheaper than $17   January 31, 2009

I just got this at PetSmart today for $6 and the dogs seem a bit perplexed. They enjoy it and have had fun batting it around, but I think they would rather I put their food in a bowl for them - instead of working for it. I have two of the laziest highest-energy lab mixes around.

However, I would tell anyone looking to purchase it to buy from another vendor. Amazon used to have one on here that offered the Atomic Treat Ball for $4, since I missed that boat I ended up buying mine at PetSmart for $6 (as mentioned above). Good treat toy- but not for $17.

PS- I only gave it 4 stars because I really don't feel like we've had adequate experience with it to say if it is well made or not. It DOES feel sturdy... I'll update after we've had this for a while longer!

UPDATE: Great toy once the dogs got used to it. They now easily knock the food out of it & get excited to use it. It's extremely sturdy, my youngest one carries it from room to room to enjoy it in private.
