I used these plug ins when one of my cats started to spray an area in my living room. I just pluged it into the outlet closest to the affected area, as well as a few more around the house. The spraying stoped immediately. It is amazing how well they work. I only wish they were more affordable. However, Amazon does have the best prices on these that I have found. If it weren't for the high cost I would use these near my cats sleeping area all the time, as well as a few throughout my house on a constant basis.

Although my cat is on medicine for her stress, I purchased the feliway's on the recommendation of my vet. I am not sure which helped--the med or the feliway. At any rate, the only "con" with the feliways is that the plastic seems to burn when the liquid is very low. Currently, I am trying just the med to see if that works without the plug-ins. There isn't any odor to the feliway, which is a bonus.

Whether it is 2 cats or 9 cats I have found this product works with GREAT results. I don't know how, but it works. In fact within two days the petty fights stopped, those little kitty skuffles that just keep all on edge. All cats are happier, and more tolerant. The only thing is that they ONLY LAST 30 Days and believe you me once you have started using it you will not go back. If they made a 45 day or 60 day product it would be better. I recommend it to all my cat friends and they find the cost is so worth it. You will know it when your product needs replacing - cat behaviour changes.

After lots of research, last year I purchased Farnam Comfort Zone Plug-In Diffuser with Feliway, 48 Milliliters for my cat's urine marking habit. I'd say that this pheromone has been about 85%-90% effective in preventing his problem. Up until recently I've been buying this refill Farnam Comfort Zone Feliway 48-Milliliter Refill Bottle. When I was researching last year, I read that there was a problem with these refills: Feliway Plug-In Refill, 48 Milliliters so I didn't buy this one. I don't even remember what the problem was; I do remember it was somewhat minor. The prices have been slowly increasing, so I decided to try the Feliway refill because it was less expensive. I didn't have any trouble with it, so I purchased the Feliway 48-Milliliter Plug-In Refills, 6 Refills to save even more money.
Feliway Plug-In Refill, 48 Milliliters & Farnam Comfort Zone Feliway 48-Milliliter Refill Bottle are interchangeable; either one will work in the diffuser. In my experience, they are both equally effective. Both refills last a little over a month.

I bought this at the suggestion of my vet. My poor Charlotte was very nervous, not eating, marking my rug, and got to a point where she refused to use the litterbox at all! I tried so many ways to get her to stop marking with little success. After I plugged in the first diffuser, I absolutely noticed she was more calm, but still marking. I bought a second diffuser, and that did the trick. With the help of special cat litter (Dr. Esley's Cat Attract) and the diffusers, she got back on track. As they state in their information about the product, it took 3 months to see the full effect in her. Today, I could not live without this product.
I keep one diffuser by the spot where my cat was marking and one in the next room to cover the downstairs of my home and the places she spends the most time in. Now she is a calm, lovable cat, eating like a champ, and using her litterbox. Let me add after so much peeing on my area rug, I had to throw it away because she was still obsessed by the spot. One year later with the rug gone and the diffusers, she is still a happy cat and I have peace in my house. I will always keep refills of Feliway in the house. Charlotte is my special needs cat and I consider this product to be like her medication, something she will always need. Also, don't let it run out! She had a terrible relapse when both of my diffusers ran dry. Check them often because they may not exactly last 30 days.
