This is actually a replacement for a similar chicken given to our Akita at Christmas. The bird has taken a beating, chewing, been tossed about, etc. and continues to entertain. Our girl likes to toss her toys around and pounce on them. The rooster crow makes it all the more entertaining. The sound fades after a few months but not such a bad thing when it's being played with at 2 AM.

In the past two years I have bought over 20 of these. My two dogs absolutely love this toy. I have a big dog toy bin for them and without a doubt they will dig through it, passing all of the other toys by and seek out the Pilot Chicken and Pilot Squirrel. I have to replace them quite a bit because my dogs are obsessed with them. What a great toy.

I found this while I was out the other day and HAD to buy it. It was too cute to pass up. I was sure my husband would roll his eyes and say "another dog toy"?
Well, Gwin LOVES this toy!!! Usually she gets a toy and after an hour or so she tires of it. She barks when you take the chicken away to shoot it. (She's impatient :o) )
So far I would have to say that this replaces her other favorite toy which is a beaver puppet. This toy is MUCH easier on our hands as well as the other toy she bites while you have on your hand. I MUST go out and buy more of these! The squeaker lasted all of about an hour before it went. I think she poked a hole in it. But that still doesn't stop her from going bezerk over it.
I highly recommend it!!
