 Fussy, rquires too much attention July 27, 2010

I had high hopes for this tray, especially since I had two cats and two kittens when I bought it and I was going through more than a tray per week. Unfortunately, the forever tray is a pain in the butt. About once every day or two I'd have to replace and realign the lid, or make some other silly adjustment to it.
The stock, disposable trays work flawlessly, and I never had to fix anything. The forever tray requires constant supervision and adjustment. I bought a self-cleaning litter box for its maintenance-free nature. Losing that made it not worthwhile for me, and I've gone back to disposable trays.
 Need this -- Scoop Free isn't very good without it July 23, 2010

This tray makes the whole Scoop Free system work for me and my cats. I was going to give up on the whole thing because the cardboard trays got mushy and smelly way too soon for the price (I have an 18-pound older cat who pees a lot at one time!). My cat also refused to use the litter that came with the disposable trays. With the Forever Tray we use crystals he likes (no scent) and it's easy to clean regularly. I use a large pancake turner to scoop out soaked crystals, which helps.
The customer service is absolutely superb, too!!!

I love the Forever Tray. I knew right away that I didn't want to spend all the money to keep replacing the disposable cartridge trays. I had the older Forever Tray that worked fine but the new one piece molded tray is fabulous. I don't mind at all that I need to clean the tray when I replace the litter. I actually thought it was very awkward to throw away the disposable tray. It is easier for me to just drop the litter out of the tray into the trash bag. So far I do agree that the Fresh Step Crystals last longer and smell better than the generic brands out there. The only problem I have is that my local Walmart doesn't carry them and I have to drive 30 minutes to another store that has them. I have not however, tried the new Just the Crystals so I will have to hold my review on all brands until I try those.

This litter tray is perfect in every way. It is not only cheaper to refill, but it is extremely well made and performs exactly as it should. I highly recommend it for anyone with a Scoop Free Litter Box.

Have used the product for a couple weeks. So far, very happy works much better than the cardboard trays, especially when combined with the "Just the Crystals" packs. Seems to have more crystal litter and the cat seems happier with it. Setup was a breeze, took longer to remove the packaging.
